The 2024 edition of the Six Invitational, the annual Rainbow Six Siege world championship, has set a new record as the biggest tournament in its seven-year history. Taking place in São Paulo, Brazil, for the first time, the event has attracted a sell-out crowd, with over 9,000 fans expected to attend each day of the tournament. This turnout nearly doubles the previous record for ticket sales, highlighting the immense popularity of the game in Brazil, which boasts a large and passionate Siege fan base.

Chrystina Martel, Executive Producer for BLAST Rainbow Six esports, expressed her excitement, stating, “Every year, the Six Invitational is a standout event in the esports calendar. This year marks the largest Rainbow Six Siege event ever.” She emphasized the record-breaking audience numbers and the fervor of the Brazilian fanbase, which have solidified the event in esports history.

Nelsen Garcia, Associate Director of Esports Live Experience at Ubisoft, also shared his enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled with the unprecedented success of the Six Invitational 2024 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The overwhelming support from our dedicated community has propelled this event to new heights, reflected in record-breaking ticket sales.”

The event has attracted a record number of sponsors, including Intel, Lenovo, JBL, Eureka Ergonomics, Kingston Technology, CTRL, and Aura, highlighting the growing interest and investment in esports. The tournament has featured two weeks of action leading up to the final days at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo.

FaZe Clan has already secured a spot in the final, with w7m esports, G2 Esports, and Virtus.Pro competing in the lower bracket for a chance to face FaZe in the final match. The winning team will not only claim the title of Rainbow Six Siege world champions but also take home a prize of $1 million.

The final is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 pm ET on February 25, promising an intense and thrilling conclusion to the tournament. Before the final match, Ubisoft will reveal its plans for Year 9 of Siege, adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the event.
