Biden’s Annual Physical: ‘No New Concerns,’ Fit for Presidency

President Joe Biden’s recent annual physical exam has revealed “no new concerns,” affirming that he remains fit for the presidency. Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the president’s physician, described Biden as a healthy and active 81-year-old male, capable of fulfilling his duties without any exceptions or accommodations.

One notable change in Biden’s health since his last physical in February 2023 is the incorporation of a Positive Airwarit Pressure (PAP) machine into his sleeping routine to address symptoms of sleep apnea. Despite this, an extremely detailed neurologic exam showed no signs of any cerebellar or other central neurological disorder, such as stroke or Parkinson’s disease, though Biden does continue to experience peripheral neuropathy in his feet.

Additionally, Biden underwent a basal cell carcinoma skin lesion removal in March and a root canal procedure in June. Despite these minor issues, his overall health appears to be robust.

Biden’s positive physical results are significant in light of concerns about his age. A recent Quinnipiac University poll showed that 67% of respondents believe he is “too old to effectively serve another term,” highlighting ongoing doubts about his ability to lead due to his age. In contrast, only 57% of respondents felt the same way about former President Donald Trump, who is 77 years old.
