Valorant 8.07 Patch: Omen Buff, Clove Bugs Fixed

Valorant 8.07 Patch

Riot Games has unveiled the patch notes for Valorant 8.07, highlighting significant changes for Omen and numerous bug fixes.

The most notable adjustment in the 8.07 patch is for Omen, receiving a significant quality-of-life enhancement. Omen can now pick up the Spike and interact with objects like doors while in the shade form of From the Shadows, without needing to cancel the ability. This change should greatly benefit Omen players, enabling them to have a more impactful presence when using From the Shadows, and potentially rescue the Spike if it is dropped behind enemy lines by a teammate.

The bulk of the 8.07 patch focuses on bug fixes, particularly addressing issues related to new agent Clove, who has gained popularity but also caused some frustration. Specific fixes include addressing a bug where Clove’s dead body would remain upright and resolving an issue where Clove would sometimes respawn without a primary weapon, significantly impacting gameplay. Additionally, fixes have been implemented for stats and missions not tracking properly due to Clove’s ultimate ability, along with improvements to hitboxes when using certain abilities.

The patch also addresses sound issues that have affected several skins in recent weeks. Skins like Glitchpop Classic, Prime Classic, Cryostasis Classic, Gravitational Uranium Neuroblaster (G.U.N) Classic, Spectrum Classic, Elderflame Operator, and Ion Sheriff have all been fixed. However, reports suggest that more skins may be experiencing audio issues. The development team has investigated and confirmed that these skins are functioning as intended, suggesting that audio configuration settings in Valorant or Windows may be the cause of any perceived issues.

“We also had several other guns/skins reported as having audio issues (Standard/Default Phantom, Oni Phantom, Recon Phantom, etc.), but we verified these are actually working properly,” said the Valorant dev team in the patch notes. “If these guns or any other first-person audio sounds different on headphones than it sounded before 8.05, it could be due to your speaker configuration in the Valorant audio settings.”

Patch 8.07 is one of the final updates expected for Episode 8 Act II, with the next Act scheduled to launch in a few weeks. Players can anticipate a more substantial update when Act III is released.
