2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter: Off-Road and Off-Grid Ready

2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter is the latest addition to the Toyota Tacoma lineup, boasting off-road and off-grid capabilities. This new model builds on the Tacoma’s already impressive pedigree, offering enhancements in off-road technology, on-road refinement, and fuel efficiency. The highlight of the lineup is the all-new Trailhunter trim, designed as a factory-configured overlanding vehicle to take Tacoma owners off-road for extended adventures.

Under the hood, the Trailhunter is powered by Toyota’s new i-Force Max hybrid system, featuring a 2.4-liter engine paired with an electric motor and 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers an impressive 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, providing ample power for steep inclines and rugged terrain. The Trailhunter comes equipped with a standard low-range transfer case and off-road technology like crawl control, electronic stabilizer bar disconnect, Old Man Emu shocks, and 18-inch wheels with 33-inch Goodyear Territory R/T tires, ensuring it lives up to its rugged namesake.

In terms of design, Toyota has enhanced the Trailhunter’s look and functionality with a bronze finish on the “Toyota” grill badge and 18-inch wheels, along with LED headlights and taillights. The Trailhunter also features a high clearance front bumper, steel ARB rear bumper with recovery hooks, and steel underbody skid plates for added protection. Additional standard equipment includes a high-mounted A-pillar air intake, color-switching fog lamps, and steel rock rails. The Trailhunter is available with either a 5- or 6-foot bed, both featuring an ARB modular utility bar with removable MOLLE panels.

Inside, the Trailhunter offers a range of standard amenities designed to enhance comfort and convenience during off-grid adventures. These include a 2400-watt/120-volt AC power supply, heated and ventilated front seats, a 14-inch central touchscreen, 10-speaker JBL audio system, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a head-up display system.

With a starting price of $64,395, the Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter offers off-road enthusiasts a capable and comfortable vehicle for extended off-grid adventures.
