LinkedIn has ranked Kyndryl as the top technology employer in Brazil, according to its latest announcement. Kyndryl, IBM’s IT infrastructure spin-off, claimed the top spot on the list, which evaluates companies based on indicators such as career development. The rankings are derived from LinkedIn data and cover eight categories, including professional advancement, skills acquisition, and turnover.
The list also considers factors like demand for employees, organizational culture, and employee connectivity. It evaluates gender and academic background diversity, as well as the presence of local employees. LinkedIn noted that the selected companies reflect a market that is rebounding after a challenging period in the innovation sector, which saw many professionals losing their jobs.
Kyndryl, with a workforce primarily in Campinas, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro, boasts key skills in computer hardware technical support, storage, cybersecurity, and networking among its employees. The company’s largest departments include information technology, engineering, and project management.
Following Kyndryl, IBM was ranked as the second-best tech employer in Brazil, with Google and Amazon in the third and fourth positions, respectively. French IT consulting firm Thales rounded out the top five.
Other notable companies in the ranking include Salesforce, Hitachi, Align Technology, Claro (América Móvil), and Embraer, the only Brazilian firm on the list.
LinkedIn highlighted the increasing demand for artificial intelligence and cybersecurity solutions, which has led major companies in the sector to make strategic investments. This trend has created opportunities for professionals looking for careers beyond Brazil, as evidenced by the strong presence of multinational giants on the list.
To be eligible for the ranking, companies needed to have at least 500 employees in Brazil and over 5,000 globally as of December 31, 2023. The study covers the period from January to December 2023 and uses anonymized global user data to reflect global workforce trends.
The data was evaluated by the LinkedIn News Team and excludes recruitment agencies, educational institutions, government bodies, LinkedIn itself, and its parent Microsoft, as well as its subsidiaries.
