Trump’s Classified Docs Trial Delayed Indefinitely

Judge Aileen Cannon of the U.S. District Court has made a significant decision regarding the trial involving former President Donald Trump and his handling of classified documents. In a recent filing, she announced the indefinite postponement of the trial, which was originally scheduled for May 20. This development marks a legal victory for Trump, who has been actively seeking to delay all four of his criminal trials until after the November election.

Judge Cannon also cited the importance of addressing matters related to the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA), which governs the protection of classified information in indicted cases.
