Loewe Launches Affordable ‘We. SEE’ TVs with Premium Features

Loewe TVs

Loewe has long been synonymous with high-end home entertainment, exemplified by its flagship ‘Stellar’ TV series, which boasts unique concrete-backed designs and an exclusive open cell manufacturing process. These premium models, however, are priced out of reach for many consumers. To address this, Loewe has unveiled the ‘We. SEE’ series, offering an entry-level option that retains many of the brand’s signature high-quality features but at a more accessible price point.

The new We. SEE series is available in two sizes: a Full HD 32-inch model and a 4K 43-inch version. Unlike the Stellar TVs, which are equipped with advanced 4K Micro Lens Array OLED screens, the We. SEE models use edge-lit LCD panels. Edge lighting, while less precise in controlling light distribution compared to direct-lit systems, is a cost-effective solution for delivering good picture quality. Despite this, the We. SEE TVs utilize VA-type LCD panels, which are renowned for their superior contrast performance compared to IPS panels. This choice ensures that even though these are entry-level models, they still offer impressive picture quality with deeper blacks and better contrast.

A notable highlight of the We. SEE series is its inclusion of features typically reserved for higher-end TVs. For instance, the screens incorporate an Anti-Lateral Colour Wash-out (ALCW) sheet. This advanced technology helps maintain consistent color accuracy and saturation even when viewed from wide angles—a common challenge with VA panels. By addressing this limitation, the We. SEE TVs provide a more immersive viewing experience from various seating positions.

In addition to the ALCW sheet, the We. SEE models feature Double Brightness Enhancement Foil (DBEF) and specialized phosphors. DBEF enhances the brightness of the screen, while the phosphors contribute to a wider color gamut and faster panel reaction times. These technologies also help reduce the energy consumption of the TVs, making them both brighter and more efficient compared to many entry-level competitors.

The We. SEE series supports high dynamic range (HDR) content, including both the premium Dolby Vision format and the more standard HDR10 and HLG systems. This capability ensures that users can enjoy a broader range of colors and improved contrast in HDR content, further enhancing the viewing experience despite the models’ more budget-friendly positioning.

On the software side, the We. SEE TVs are powered by Loewe’s latest os8 operating system. This platform provides intuitive access to a variety of popular streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV+. The os8 system also includes features for content sharing, supporting Miracast, Apple AirPlay, and DTS Play-Fi, which allows users to easily stream content from their mobile devices to the TV.

For gamers, the We. SEE series offers HDMI 2.1 ports with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), which reduces input lag and enhances gaming responsiveness. The 43-inch model is particularly noteworthy for its support of 120Hz refresh rates and variable refresh rates, features that are highly sought after by gamers but often missing from TVs in this size range. This makes the We. SEE a compelling option for those who enjoy gaming and want a TV that can keep up with fast-paced action.

The audio experience of the We. SEE series is also impressive for its class. The built-in soundbar spans the entire bottom edge of the TV and delivers 60W of power. This design ensures that sound is directed towards the viewer, providing a clear and impactful audio experience. For those seeking even better sound, the We. SEE models are compatible with Loewe’s klang sub1 wireless subwoofers via Bluetooth. Additionally, users can connect an external soundbar, such as Loewe’s own klang bar models, through the eARC capability of the HDMI ports.

Design-wise, the We. SEE series upholds Loewe’s reputation for sleek aesthetics. The ultra-thin panel benefits from edge LED lighting, and the slim bezel around the screen creates a modern and minimalist look. Each TV comes with a sturdy metal tabletop stand painted in storm grey, and Loewe offers a range of additional mounting options, including wall mounts and floor stands, for those who prefer a different setup.

The We. SEE series is now available in Loewe’s primary European markets. The 43-inch model is priced at £1,200, while the 32-inch model costs £900. This pricing strategy makes Loewe’s high-quality television technology more accessible, offering a blend of premium features and affordability that distinguishes the We. SEE series from other entry-level offerings on the market.
