Squid Game Season 2: Player 001 Reveal and Explosive Finale

The revelation about Player 001 is a game-changer. Initially, Player 001 was seen as a frail, elderly man named Oh Il-nam (played by O Yeong-su), who seemed harmless and vulnerable. However, in a shocking twist, it is revealed that Player 001 is actually Hwang In-ho (played by Lee Byung-hun), who is better known as The Front Man, the leader of Squid Game. In-ho had once competed in the game as Player 132 but eventually took on the role of Player 001 after the original creator’s death. Disguising himself as a player, In-ho befriends Gi-hun by sharing a heartbreaking story about his pregnant wife’s terminal illness. He claims to have entered the game to win the money necessary to save his wife and unborn child. He kills two of them and fakes his own death, using a stolen guard’s radio to inform the Front Man of the rebellion’s failure. The Front Man then sheds his Player 001 tracksuit and dons his signature black cloak and mask, fully revealing his identity as the true architect of the game’s horrors.
