Powerball Jackpot Continues to Climb as No Winner Claims Saturday’s $263 Million Prize

The anticipation builds as the Powerball jackpot remains unclaimed after Saturday night’s drawing on January 11, 2025, where players had a chance at a staggering $263 million prize with a cash option of $115.3 million. The winning numbers for the drawing were 3, 6, 32, 37, and 65, with the Powerball being 4 and a Power Play multiplier of 3x.

While the grand prize went unclaimed, the drawing produced several significant winners across the country. Most notably, a ticket sold in New Jersey matched all five white balls, securing a $1 million prize. This continues the trend of substantial secondary prizes being awarded, following Wednesday’s drawing where two second-prize tickets were sold – one in Indiana worth $2 million (thanks to the Power Play option) and another in Ohio worth $1 million.

The Powerball game, which is available in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, continues to generate excitement with its thrice-weekly drawings. Players from Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah remain unable to participate in the lottery. Each ticket costs $2, with an additional $1 for the Power Play option that can multiply non-jackpot prizes.

Looking back at recent major wins, 2023 proved to be a remarkable year for Powerball, with five grand prizes awarded. The most notable was the $1.765 billion jackpot won in California on October 11, 2023. The year 2024 started with a bang when a lucky ticket holder in Michigan claimed an $810 million prize on January 1.

The game’s historical significance is marked by its record-breaking jackpots, with the largest ever being the $2.04 billion prize won by a California ticket holder on November 7, 2022. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot remain at 1 in 292.2 million, while the chances of matching five numbers for a $1 million prize are approximately 1 in 11.7 million.

For those interested in participating, drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. The game’s format allows players to win various prize tiers, starting from $4 for matching just the Powerball number. Matching three numbers without the Powerball yields $7, while adding the Powerball to three correct numbers increases the prize to $1001.As the jackpot continues to grow, lottery enthusiasts across the nation eagerly await the next drawing, hoping to become the next multimillionaire in this long-running game of chance.
