Trump Faces Deposition and Trial on Same Day

Trump Holds Campaign Rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Former President Donald Trump is facing a significant legal clash as he is scheduled for a deposition on April 15 in a lawsuit filed by two co-founders of Trump Media & Technology Group. This lawsuit, brought by Andy Litinsky and Wes Moss, revolves around their involvement with the company that owns the Truth Social app. Interestingly, this deposition is set for the same day that Trump’s criminal trial is set to begin in New York, where he faces charges related to alleged hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

The deposition is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 15, as per a notice from the Delaware Court of Chancery. However, there is uncertainty regarding the location of Trump’s deposition, and there is a possibility that it could be rescheduled to allow him to attend the first day of his trial in New York. Trump had previously tried to delay the start of his criminal trial, but Judge Juan Merchan ruled against this, emphasizing that Trump had ample opportunities to raise objections before the trial date.

The lawsuit filed by Litinsky and Moss, both former contestants on “The Apprentice,” alleges that Trump attempted to dilute their shares in Trump Media & Technology Group before the company went public in March. Trump Media & Technology Group has retaliated with a counter lawsuit against Litinsky and Moss, seeking to eliminate their remaining shares. The counter suit accuses Litinsky and Moss of making reckless decisions that caused damage to the company and resulted in a decline in its stock price.

Trump has been no stranger to legal battles in recent years. He was previously deposed in a lawsuit brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, where he was found liable for sexually abusing her and was ordered to pay $5 million in damages. Additionally, Trump was deposed in a civil case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, where he was found liable for fraudulently inflating the value of his assets and was ordered to pay $557 million.
