Bungie Fixes ‘Destiny 2’ Echoes Episode Issues

Bungie Fixes Destiny 2 issue

Destiny 2’s latest Echoes Episode has been a mixed bag for players, particularly due to frustrations with the Breach Executable activity. Recognizing these concerns, Bungie is making substantial adjustments to improve the experience.

Players expressed dissatisfaction with various aspects of the Breach Executable, especially the relentless aerial void Hydras with double buff modifiers in areas devoid of cover. These enemies, known for their Void Threat, were a major pain point. The lack of cover made these encounters excessively challenging and detracted from the overall enjoyment of the activity.

In response to player feedback, Bungie is implementing several key changes aimed at addressing these issues and enhancing the overall gameplay. The first significant change involves removing the Void Threat from the aerial void Hydras. This adjustment means that players will no longer face the overwhelming challenge of these enemies in an environment with no cover, thus reducing the difficulty of the encounters.

Bungie is also overhauling the sample collection process, addressing multiple pain points. Players will now consistently find two Planetary Pistons in each Breach Executable run. This change aims to streamline the collection process and ensure that players are not left searching in vain for essential items. The waypoint range for Pistons has been increased, making them easier to spot and retrieve. This adjustment will reduce the time spent locating Pistons and improve overall efficiency. The delay before players are teleported to join their allies in the next encounter has been increased. This means players can now continue collecting samples without being prematurely pulled into subsequent encounters or boss rooms by their teammates. Extracting Radiolite samples will now be instantaneous, allowing players to rejoin the action more quickly after collecting these crucial items.

These modifications are designed to address nearly all the issues players faced with sample collection in the Breach Executable activity. Previously, players struggled with finding Pistons, dealing with unexpected teleportation, and the time-consuming nature of sample collection. The new updates aim to double the loot potential by streamlining the process and reducing the time required to gather samples.

Bungie has also acknowledged that there has been an issue with a missing sample-collecting quest this week. This quest, which has appeared in previous weeks, is currently a weekly challenge that players are unable to complete. Bungie has indicated that this quest will be reactivated in the next reset, aligning with the release of the upcoming patch. This update should help players who have been affected by this issue.

While the episodic model of Destiny 2 has had its challenges, including a three-week story break and timegated weapons and battle passes, these adjustments to the Breach Executable activity represent a positive step forward. The frustration associated with sample collection is being addressed in a way that should significantly enhance the experience for players.

Bungie’s responsiveness to player feedback and their willingness to make timely adjustments is commendable. These changes not only improve the immediate gameplay experience but also reflect Bungie’s commitment to refining and evolving the game based on community input. For players who have been struggling with the Echoes Episode, these updates should provide a much-needed boost and make the activity more enjoyable and rewarding.

Overall, while the episodic model continues to be a point of contention for some, the improvements being made to the Breach Executable activity are a step in the right direction. As Bungie continues to adapt and respond to player feedback, the future of Destiny 2’s episodic content may become more engaging and less frustrating.
