In a major announcement by FIFA on Sunday, New York has been selected as the host city for the final match of the 2026 World Cup, marking the highly anticipated return of the soccer tournament to the United States after a span of more than two years.

• The tournament will kick off on June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, followed by Canada’s first match on June 12, 2026, in Toronto, and the United States’ opening game on the same day in Los Angeles.
• The bronze medal final is scheduled to take place in Miami, while the semi-final games will unfold in Atlanta and Dallas.
• The entire tournament will span 16 locations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with quarterfinal games set for Kansas City, Missouri; Boston; Los Angeles; and Miami.
