Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery Launch Summer Streaming Bundle

Disney, Warner Bros Team up

Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced a new streaming bundle that will include Disney+, Hulu, and Max, set to launch this summer. This move reflects the ongoing trend in the streaming industry to offer bundled services from top brands. The bundle will be available in both ad-supported and ad-free plans, although pricing details for each plan have not yet been disclosed. The exact release date for the bundle has also not been confirmed, but it is expected to include content from a variety of brands such as ABC, CNN, Marvel, DC, Food Network, Searchlight, and more.

Disney’s current bundle, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, is priced at $14.99 per month with ads and $24.99 per month without ads. It is anticipated that the new bundle, which includes Max, could be priced higher. Additional details about the bundle will be announced by Disney in the coming months.

In its latest earnings report, Disney reported a $47 million quarterly operating profit for its Hulu and Disney+ streaming services. Warner Bros. Discovery, on the other hand, reported a $103 million profit in 2023 for its direct-to-consumer division, which includes the Max streaming service. During Disney’s recent earnings call, CEO Bob Iger expressed confidence in streaming as a key growth driver for the company.
