Keydous NJ80-CP V3 HE Brings 8,000Hz Gaming Performance

Keydous has introduced the NJ80-CP V3 HE, a 75% gaming keyboard built around Hall-Effect magnetic switches and designed for competitive gamers, content creators and keyboard enthusiasts. The keyboard combines an 8,000Hz polling rate, adjustable actuation, rapid trigger technology and multiple connectivity options, while retaining the compact layout associated with the NJ80 series.

The NJ80-CP V3 HE uses Hall-Effect sensors instead of the physical-contact mechanism found in conventional mechanical switches. The magnetic system detects how far each key is pressed by measuring changes in its magnetic field, allowing users to customize how individual keys respond while providing fast input recognition.

Keydous specifies a maximum polling rate of 8,000Hz, corresponding to claimed latency of 0.125ms. The keyboard scans each key 32,000 times per second with a sampling rate of 256,000. The 8,000Hz mode is available when using a wired USB connection or the included 2.4GHz wireless dongle. Bluetooth operates at a substantially lower polling rate, making the wireless Bluetooth connection less suited to users prioritizing maximum competitive performance.

Users can switch between 1kHz, 2kHz, 4kHz and 8kHz polling rates. The keyboard also includes a 0.001mm Rapid Trigger feature and a Zero Dead Zone option. Individual keys can be configured with actuation points between 0.1mm and 3.3mm, adjustable in 0.1mm increments.

The NJ80-CP V3 HE maintains Keydous’ 75% layout while adding structural and acoustic refinements. It offers three connection methods: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.0 and wired USB-C. Compatibility extends across Windows, macOS and Linux, while Mac keycaps are included with certain color options.

The keyboard uses hot-swappable Hall-Effect magnetic switches, giving users the flexibility to change the switch configuration according to their preferred feel. Keydous offers linear, silent and professional HE switch options from manufacturers including Kailh and Gateron. RGB lighting is also built into every key, with multiple lighting effects and color choices available.

Color options include Black Samurai, Star Dream, Dark, White Moon and Green Shadow. Mac modifier keycaps are not included with the Black Samurai and Green Shadow versions. The Star Dream configuration also did not include macOS keycaps in the reviewed setup, although this may have been an oversight.

A metal rotary knob provides tactile controls for functions such as volume adjustment, backlight brightness and system modes. The keyboard also includes a complete row of function keys, although some operating-system functions, including volume and media controls, require additional programming.

Configuration and customization are handled through Keydous’ web-based configurator using a HID-compatible browser such as Google Chrome. While the interface is not particularly intuitive, it provides access to the keyboard’s function-key programming and other available settings.

The NJ80-CP V3 HE is available through the official Keydous store and authorized retailers worldwide for a guide price of $99.99. The keyboard has a 4,800mAh lithium-ion battery, with Keydous rating battery life at up to 13 hours with RGB lighting enabled and up to 160 hours with RGB lighting turned off.

The keyboard measures 380 x 138 x 40mm and weighs 800g. Its package includes the NJ80-CP keyboard, a switch and keycap puller, USB Type-C cable, dust cover and 2.4GHz wireless dongle. Wired operation supports Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 and newer versions, as well as macOS and Linux. Wireless compatibility includes Windows 7, iOS 7, macOS 10.10 and Android 4.4 and newer.
