Sendy Audio Unveils Lightweight Apollo PRO Headphones

Sendy Audio has introduced the Apollo PRO, a new pair of premium open-back planar magnetic headphones designed to deliver an immersive listening experience while prioritizing comfort during extended use. The company says the headphones combine advanced driver technology with a lightweight construction aimed at music enthusiasts seeking detail, spaciousness and musicality.

At the core of the Apollo PRO are custom-built 78mm planar magnetic drivers featuring a nano-scale composite diaphragm measuring less than 800 nanometers thick. According to Sendy Audio, the ultra-thin diaphragm is engineered to enhance response speed, clarity and overall audio resolution, creating what the company describes as a fast, expansive and highly detailed sound presentation suitable for music, films and gaming.

The headphones also incorporate Sendy Audio’s Electron Beam Evaporation Deposition technology, which precisely applies aluminum circuitry to the diaphragm surface. The company says this process improves vibration control and frequency consistency, helping produce clearer instrument separation and more refined audio performance.

Weighing 354 grams, the Apollo PRO has been designed to provide the openness and scale commonly associated with planar magnetic headphones while reducing the discomfort that can accompany longer listening sessions. The open-back construction is complemented by zebrawood earcups and a sunburst-pattern aluminum mesh, giving the headphones a distinctive appearance.

Comfort-focused features include soft velvet ear pads and a lambskin headband intended to improve breathability and reduce heat buildup during prolonged use. The headphones also use CNC-machined aviation-grade aluminum components and a flexible adjustment mechanism that adapts to different head shapes for a secure fit.

Included with the Apollo PRO is a detachable balanced cable constructed from Furukawa oxygen-free copper, silver-plated copper and enameled gold-plated copper. The cable features graphene-reinforced shielding, which Sendy Audio says helps maintain signal stability while improving sonic detail and soundstage clarity.

For connectivity, the cable comes with a 4.4mm balanced termination and includes both 3.5mm and 6.35mm adapters, enabling compatibility with a variety of audio devices ranging from portable digital players to home hi-fi systems.

Sendy Audio says the combination of planar magnetic technology, lightweight materials and ergonomic design is intended to create an engaging listening experience that remains comfortable over extended periods. The Apollo PRO headphones are available now through Amazon and selected retailers, priced at £449, $449 and €499.

The headphones feature an open-back circumaural design, a frequency response range of 20Hz to 40kHz, sensitivity rated at 93dB ±3dB, and impedance of 27Ω ±15%. Additional materials include zebrawood earcups, velvet ear pads, a lambskin headband and detachable Furukawa OFC cabling with support for 3.5mm, 4.4mm and 6.35mm connections.
