2027 Ford Bronco Desert Rising Debuts With Bold Custom Design

2027 Ford Bronco Desert Rising

Ford has introduced the 2027 Bronco Desert Rising, the first customization package in its new Ford Custom Garage Horizon Series, a lineup of appearance and accessory packages inspired by iconic destinations. Drawing its design from Utah’s Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, the package reflects the deep berry-colored landscape seen during sunrise and sunset. Orders for the Desert Rising package open on July 27, 2026, with pricing set at $13,695.

According to Ford senior designer Bhavna Mistry, the concept celebrates the Bronco’s connection to desert racing without focusing on speed or competition. Instead, the design team took inspiration from the desert’s quieter moments before and after racing. “The whole place transforms into amazing tones of berry,” Mistry said. “It’s like a reward at the end of it.”

Built on the Bronco Outer Banks trim, the Desert Rising package is available in Oxford White, Shadow Black, Avalanche Gray and Ruby Red exterior finishes. Ford’s showcase vehicle features Oxford White paint, creating a striking contrast with the package’s signature magenta accents.

Exterior updates include a painted grille, white trail sights and a custom Bronco tailgate emblem, known internally by Ford as the “bucky.” Buyers can also choose optional bodyside graphics featuring layered pink and magenta shapes inspired by Utah’s lakes, dunes and desert skyline. Those seeking a more restrained appearance can order the package without the graphics.

The off-road-focused design continues with Method wheels accented by magenta center caps, tying the rugged hardware into the overall styling theme. Inside, Katzkin two-tone leather seats combine black upholstery with vivid magenta inserts and contrasting stitching. Matching grab handles, coordinated interior trim and a serialized center-console badge further distinguish each vehicle and emphasize its limited-production character.

Ford says the Desert Rising package also reflects growing demand for factory-backed personalization. The automaker noted that nearly half of its customers modify their vehicles, but aftermarket upgrades can create concerns about fitment, installation quality and warranty coverage. Ford Custom Garage packages use model-specific Ford Racing Parts and accessories, and when installed by a Ford dealer or an ASE-certified technician, they retain the vehicle’s standard new-car warranty.

Ford acknowledges the Desert Rising package’s bold styling will not appeal to every Bronco buyer, but says the Horizon Series is intended to offer unique, fully integrated designs for customers looking to personalize their vehicles. The company also confirmed that additional Horizon Series packages are planned following the launch of the 2027 Ford Bronco Desert Rising.
