ASUS has expanded its ProArt lineup with two new desktop accessories designed for creative professionals, introducing the ProArt Keyboard KD300 and ProArt Mouse MD301. The latest additions build on the company’s ProArt ecosystem, which is widely recognized among photographers, graphic designers and content creators for its professional-grade hardware. Both peripherals focus on combining a minimalist design with productivity-focused features.
The ProArt Keyboard KD300 features a compact 65% low-profile mechanical layout that eliminates the numeric keypad and dedicated function row to maximize desk space. Finished in Black Aerolite with a premium aluminum top plate, the keyboard measures just 26.8mm thick and is designed to complement studio workspaces alongside graphics tablets and professional displays.
Despite its compact size, the KD300 offers tri-mode connectivity through Bluetooth, a low-latency 2.4GHz wireless USB receiver and a USB-C wired connection. Users can connect the keyboard to as many as five devices simultaneously and switch between them with ease. ASUS has also included a dedicated PC/Mac toggle switch on the rear along with a built-in magnetic compartment for storing the wireless dongle while traveling.
A customizable active touch panel and multifunction control located in the upper-left corner enables quick adjustments for volume, media playback and RGB backlighting. The keyboard is powered by ASUS RX Red Low-Profile optical switches, which feature a 1.0mm actuation point and an initial actuation force between 40g and 55g to deliver fast, smooth and precise typing. To minimize typing noise, ASUS has integrated dual layers of silicone dampening foam that reduce hollow sounds and unwanted echoes, making the keyboard suitable for quiet work environments.
Rather than requiring dedicated desktop software, ASUS has opted for a browser-based configuration platform called Gear Link. Compatible with HID-enabled browsers such as Google Chrome and Brave, the interface allows users to remap keys, create macros and configure up to ten preset shortcut profiles for applications including Adobe Creative Suite.
Battery performance is another highlight of the KD300. Its built-in 4,000mAh lithium-ion battery can deliver up to 16 months of use on a single charge with RGB lighting disabled. Even at maximum backlight brightness, ASUS estimates up to 100 days of continuous operation. The keyboard also includes an integrated battery indicator that transforms the top number row into a real-time power gauge, while the Esc through 1 keys illuminate red when the remaining charge drops below 20%, signaling it is time to recharge using the included 180cm USB-C cable.
Accompanying the keyboard is the ProArt Mouse MD301, an ergonomic wireless mouse weighing less than 100 grams. It features an 8,000 DPI optical sensor capable of tracking accurately even on glass surfaces. Like the keyboard, the mouse supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless and USB wired connectivity while offering a 1,000Hz polling rate over USB and 2.4GHz for responsive performance suitable for both creative workflows and gaming.
The MD301 includes six programmable buttons, forward and back controls, a horizontal thumb wheel and a high-speed scrolling wheel, all configurable through the Gear Link web interface. ASUS has also designed the mouse with longevity in mind, equipping it with hot-swappable primary switches rated for up to 80 million clicks, allowing users to replace compatible micro or optical switches when needed.
The ASUS ProArt Keyboard KD300 and ProArt Mouse MD301 are available now through the ASUS website. The keyboard is priced at $164.99, while the MD301 wireless mouse is available for $99.99.
