A new insider report surrounding Spider-Man: Brand New Day has sparked fresh discussion online after claiming the upcoming Marvel film includes an unexpected scene involving Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. While the information remains unconfirmed, it has quickly become one of the most talked-about rumors surrounding the movie.
According to industry insider DanielRPK, the film features a scene in which Peter Parker and Yelena Belova see each other naked. However, another insider, James Mack, disputed part of that report, claiming the scene only involves Yelena seeing Peter without clothes rather than both characters seeing each other.
The revised version of the rumor appears to align more closely with footage already shown in official trailers. One scene depicts Peter waking up shirtless while wrapped in webbing, leading to speculation that the reported moment may be connected to that sequence rather than a more elaborate encounter.
While speculation continues over Yelena’s appearance, fans remain focused on another major mystery surrounding the film: the identity of the character played by Sadie Sink. Current fan theories continue to suggest she could portray a version of Jean Grey, although Marvel Studios has not confirmed her role.
Unlike previous reports that correctly suggested the appearances of the Punisher and Hulk—both of which were later supported by official trailers—Yelena has not appeared in any promotional footage released so far. This has led to speculation that her role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day may be limited to a brief cameo before she returns in a larger capacity in Avengers: Doomsday, where she is expected to reunite with the Thunderbolts team.
Florence Pugh has become one of Marvel Studios’ most frequently featured performers since debuting as Yelena Belova in Black Widow. She later appeared in Hawkeye, led the Thunderbolts film, voiced the character in Marvel Zombies, and is set to return in Avengers: Doomsday. Despite the character’s popularity, several of Pugh’s Marvel projects have faced commercial challenges, with Black Widow releasing during the COVID-19 pandemic and Thunderbolts underperforming compared with other Marvel Cinematic Universe films. It remains unclear what the future holds for Yelena after the next Avengers installment.
