Samsung Teases Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Reservations

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

Samsung is building anticipation for its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 smartphones ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for next month in Paris. Despite the event being a few weeks away, Samsung has already begun teasing potential buyers in India with early reservation emails, as reported by SamMobile.

These reservation emails serve to inform rather than enable immediate pre-orders. According to sources from a Samsung Experience Store cited by SamMobile, reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (codenamed Q6) and Z Flip 6 (codenamed B6) will officially open on June 26, 2024.

While the emails lack specific details such as pricing, specifications, or promotional deals, Samsung is known for incentivizing early adopters. This tactic echoes its strategy during previous launches, such as the Galaxy S24, where early registrants were rewarded with $50 vouchers.

In a recent update, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 10th in Paris. The company reiterated its commitment to allowing customers to reserve their spot in the pre-order queue, accompanied by a $50 credit as a thank-you gesture. Notably, reservations are free and do not bind customers to make a purchase.

Regarding the $50 credit, Samsung has not disclosed its exact usage terms yet, but the Terms and Conditions suggest it can be applied towards an “eligible device,” hinting at potential discounts rather than just store credit for accessories. Furthermore, Samsung has hinted at substantial savings up to $1500 through trade-in offers and bundle deals.

Samsung typically enhances trade-in values during major product launches and offers additional discounts like the 5% off code “APP5” applicable in the Samsung Shop app. These discounts are often stackable, allowing customers to combine multiple offers for greater savings.

In anticipation of the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung is also expected to unveil new Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring models, likely bundled with the new smartphones. The Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Ring are anticipated to feature prominently in promotional packages alongside the smartphones.

In response to competitive pressures, Google has aggressively discounted its Google Pixel 8 Pro by £300 ($380.66) in the U.K., marking one of its most significant price cuts since the phone’s launch last October. Enhanced trade-in offers are also available, potentially reducing the cost by up to £665 ($843.80) for the latest models.

As the launch dates approach for Samsung’s new devices and Google’s rumored Pixel Fold 2, consumers can expect intense competition in the smartphone market, with enticing offers and deals likely to dominate headlines in the coming weeks.
