The completion of this deal hinges on Marín passing a medical examination, with an official confirmation anticipated by Monday. The structure of the transfer includes a notable buy-back clause, allowing Real Madrid to repurchase Marín for €25 million ($27.1 million) if they choose to do so by 2026. This clause is set to escalate to €35 million ($37.9 million) if activated in 2027. Additionally, Napoli has a provision to pay an extra €10 million ($10.8 million) in 2025, which would double the buy-back options to €50 million ($54.2 million) in 2026 and €70 million ($75.8 million) in 2027. This clause underscores Real Madrid’s interest in retaining the option to bring Marín back to the club should he develop into a standout player.

Marín’s move to Napoli is the culmination of a long journey at Real Madrid, where he has been a part of the club since his teenage years. At 22, Marín joined Real Madrid from Sevilla at the age of 14 but has yet to make his debut for the senior team.
