Alogic Unveils New Tech at IFA 2024

Alogic

At IFA 2024, the Australian technology brand Alogic is showcasing a series of cutting-edge innovations aimed at enhancing user experience with its new product lineup. Among the highlights are advanced mice, wireless keyboards, and a groundbreaking monitor light featuring an integrated 4K webcam. These new offerings are set to revolutionize how users interact with their devices, combining functionality with sleek design.

Alogic’s new Apex wireless performance mouse takes center stage at the event. Available in both black and white, the Apex mouse boasts a curved, ergonomic design that promotes a more natural hand position and helps alleviate repetitive strain injuries (RSI). This mouse is preconfigured with shortcuts for Mac and Windows, allowing users to easily take screenshots, switch windows, and navigate between desktops. It also features extra buttons, a horizontal scroll wheel, and programmable keyboard shortcuts that can be customized using the Apex Control app available for both Mac and Windows. The Apex supports polling rates of up to 1,000Hz and includes a white LED edge light for a touch of style. Notably, the Apex can seamlessly switch between three devices using either 2.4GHz RF or Bluetooth connectivity, and it charges via a USB-C port. The Apex mouse is priced at $59.99 / £59.99 / €69.99.

In addition to the Apex mouse, Alogic is introducing a new compact version of its recently launched Echelon wireless keyboard. The full-size Echelon keyboard, which was released earlier, is now complemented by this more compact variant. The Echelon keyboards are available as a Windows combo set, which includes a mouse, or as a Mac-only keyboard. Both versions feature a numeric keypad, a low-profile design, USB-C charging, and the ability to switch between multiple devices. The Echelon Compact keyboard supports device switching between three devices using a 2.4GHz RF dongle or two devices with Bluetooth on Windows, and three devices on macOS. Initially, the Echelon Compact will be available in US ANSI layouts, with additional layouts to follow. The starting price for the Echelon keyboard is $69.99 / £64.99.

Alogic is also unveiling its new Scribe wireless mechanical keyboards, designed for those seeking a premium typing experience. The Scribe series includes four distinct models: the Scribe Standard, a full-size mechanical keyboard; the Scribe Ergo, which includes a wrist rest; the Scribe Compact, which features a numeric keypad but in a more compact form; and the Scribe Nano, an ultra-compact model without a numeric keypad. All Scribe keyboards come equipped with mechanical switches for precise typing, multi-device connectivity, and features such as white backlighting, USB-C charging, swappable keycaps for Mac and Windows, and programmable function keys. The Scribe mechanical keyboards start at $89.99 / £69.99 / €89.99.

One of the standout innovations at IFA 2024 is Alogic’s Illuminate remote control monitor light, which includes a built-in 4K webcam. This monitor light provides glare-free illumination and features a high-definition 4K webcam with autofocus and a magnetic privacy cover. The Illuminate monitor light also offers adjustable color temperature and auto-dimming capabilities, all controlled via a rechargeable remote control. This versatile product is priced at $99.99 / £89.99 / €119.99.

Additionally, Alogic is showcasing the Clarity 5K Touch 27-inch monitor. This touch-sensitive screen offers a 5K resolution and professional color accuracy, making it an ideal choice for digital artists and photographers. The Clarity 5K Touch serves as a more affordable alternative to Apple’s Studio Display, which lacks touch capabilities but supports the 5K resolution used by Mac mini and Mac Studio computers. The Clarity 5K Touch 27-inch monitor is priced at $1,999.99 / £1,499.99 / €1,799.

Overall, Alogic’s announcements at IFA 2024 underscore the company’s commitment to innovation and user-centric design. With a range of new products that combine advanced technology with practical features, Alogic is poised to make a significant impact in the tech industry by offering solutions that enhance productivity and user comfort. All new products are expected to start shipping by the end of the year, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Alogic’s lineup.
