Drake’s Iceman Matches His Second-Longest No. 1 Chart Run

Drake’s Iceman has reached another milestone on the Billboard charts, holding the No. 1 position on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for an 11th week. The latest stretch puts the album level with For All the Dogs as Drake’s second-longest reign on the genre ranking, leaving it just one week short of Take Care, which remains his personal record holder with 12 weeks at the top.

Iceman arrived as another major release from the Canadian hip-hop star, whose albums routinely generate significant attention in the U.S. music market. The album’s launch was particularly notable because Drake released three complete projects simultaneously. Iceman opened at No. 1 across Billboard’s rankings, while Maid of Honour and Habibti also followed closely behind on several charts.

Since its release, Iceman and its singles have maintained a strong presence on the Billboard rankings. The album has now reclaimed the top spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart after Future’s The Real Me briefly replaced it for one week. That marked the first time another album had displaced Iceman from No. 1 since its debut.

The Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart ranks the most-consumed full-length albums and EPs classified by Billboard within the R&B, rap and hip-hop categories. Iceman’s latest week at No. 1 brings its total time at the summit to 11 weeks.

That total also puts Iceman alongside For All the Dogs, which spent 11 weeks at No. 1 after beginning its run in October 2023. The latest achievement means Iceman has now surpassed Certified Lover Boy, which finished its reign with 10 weeks at the top.

Drake needs only one additional week at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart to equal Take Care’s record. Take Care accumulated 12 weeks at the summit after reaching No. 1 in December 2011 and has since become one of Drake’s most enduring releases. The album recently passed 10 years on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, making it Drake’s first project to reach that milestone.

Iceman is also No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart this week. The album has spent 12 weeks at the top of that genre-specific ranking and has been displaced from the leading position for only one week.

Beyond the genre charts, Iceman remains a top 10 title on two additional Billboard rankings. It stands at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, the U.S. chart measuring overall album consumption, while also ranking No. 6 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. The album moved down one position on the streaming-focused ranking while remaining at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.

Drake’s broader catalog is also heavily represented on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. He occupies 11 of the chart’s 50 positions this week, accounting for more than one-fifth of the entire ranking. Iceman leads at No. 1, while Nothing Was the Same reenters at No. 50, giving Drake albums at both ends of the chart.

Take Care ranks at No. 9, followed by Views at No. 12. Habibti sits at No. 19, while Scorpion is No. 20 and Certified Lover Boy reaches No. 26. Thank Me Later appears at No. 27, Some Sexy Songs 4 U with PartyNextDoor is at No. 32, For All the Dogs lands at No. 37 and More Life is at No. 44.

With Iceman continuing its run across multiple Billboard rankings, Drake is now one week away from matching the longest No. 1 reign of his career on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album’s 11th week at the summit has already moved it ahead of Certified Lover Boy and tied it with For All the Dogs for second place in Drake’s personal record book.
