Amazfit has officially launched the Helio Strap Pro, a new screen-free fitness wearable designed to deliver more detailed workout analysis through a dual-device tracking system. First announced a few weeks ago, the wearable is now available for purchase and introduces a different approach to fitness monitoring by combining data from two separate sensors.
The Helio Strap Pro features a primary heart rate tracker that is designed to be worn on the upper arm rather than the wrist, alongside a second motion sensor positioned around the waist. Amazfit refers to this setup as its “multi-position movement system,” which separates overall body movement from limb motion to provide more precise workout insights.
The company says the wearable is primarily aimed at hybrid athletes and competitors in Hyrox events, a partnership Amazfit established in 2024. The system is capable of distinguishing between different Hyrox disciplines, including SkiErg, rowing and sled push exercises, allowing users to review performance for each activity within the Zepp app after completing a workout.
More than 60 workout modes are supported, covering activities such as running, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and other indoor exercises. While the tracker can be worn on the wrist using the included band, Amazfit recommends wearing the heart rate monitor on the upper arm for the most accurate results.
To unlock the full capabilities of the dual-sensor system, users currently need to pair the Helio Strap Pro with either the Amazfit Balance 3 or Amazfit Balance Ultra smartwatch, as these models include dedicated Hyrox Race and Simulation modes. Amazfit noted that this requirement applies at launch, suggesting broader compatibility may arrive in future updates.
Unlike subscription-based fitness platforms, the Helio Strap Pro does not require a recurring monthly fee. The complete package is priced at $199.99 and includes the Helio Core Motion HR, the Helio Core Motion Waist sensor, and both wrist and upper-arm bands for flexible wearing options.
Battery life is rated at up to 11 days for the Helio Core Motion HR and up to 40 days for the waist-mounted sensor. Both devices also feature a 5ATM water-resistance rating.
“Helio Strap Pro introduces an innovative new approach to hybrid training by connecting upper-arm heart-rate data with waist-based motion sensing and smartwatch performance data,” said Scott Shepley, Amazfit’s head of marketing. He added, “It represents the next step in our Hybrid Training System, giving athletes a more complete understanding of how effort, movement and performance change across a demanding workout.”
The Amazfit Helio Strap Pro is available to order now.
