Justin Bieber’s ‘Beauty and a Beat’ Returns to U.K. Bestseller Charts

Justin Bieber is celebrating another chart resurgence in the United Kingdom as his 2012 collaboration with Nicki Minaj, “Beauty and a Beat,” has re-entered the country’s sales rankings more than a decade after its original release. The renewed momentum comes even as the singer continues promoting his recent music following last year’s surprise album Swag and its follow-up release, Swag II.

Bieber recently appeared during the inaugural FIFA World Cup halftime show, where he performed “Everything Hallelujah,” a track from Swag II. While newer songs such as “Daisies” and “Yukon” continue to chart internationally, it is the longtime fan favorite “Beauty and a Beat” that has emerged as one of the week’s biggest sales gainers in the U.K.

The song returns to the Official Singles Downloads chart at No. 75 and re-enters the Official Singles Sales chart at No. 81. The Official Singles Downloads chart tracks digital purchases only, while the Official Singles Sales chart combines digital downloads with physical formats including CDs, vinyl and cassettes.

Over its chart history, “Beauty and a Beat” has performed especially well on the downloads chart, where it has accumulated 35 weeks and previously reached a peak of No. 16. On the Official Singles Sales chart, the track has spent eight weeks and achieved a highest position of No. 44.

The collaboration is also climbing on two additional U.K. rankings. It rises from No. 32 to No. 30 on the Official Streaming chart and moves from No. 66 to No. 63 on the Official Singles chart, which combines streaming, digital downloads and physical sales. During its original run, the song reached No. 3 on the Official Singles chart and peaked at No. 5 on the Official Streaming chart.

Bieber’s recent hit “Daisies” continues to gain traction as well. The song climbs on both the Official Streaming and Official Singles charts, where it currently stands at No. 54 and No. 84, respectively. The track serves as the lead single from Swag, which recently marked its first anniversary.

The Canadian singer also maintains a presence on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart with songs from different stages of his career. His breakthrough hit “Baby,” featuring Ludacris, jumps eight places to No. 30, while “Yukon” follows three positions behind, underscoring Bieber’s continued chart success across both classic and recent releases.
