Obsbot Meet Flip Debuts With 4K AI Features and Foldable Privacy

Obsbot has introduced the Meet Flip, a compact foldable 4K webcam designed for video conferencing, live streaming and content creation. The new device combines AI-powered features with a hardware-based privacy design, offering users a lightweight webcam that weighs just 37.7 grams while delivering high-quality video and intelligent meeting tools.

The Meet Flip is Obsbot’s first foldable webcam and is built around a Sony Exmor RS stacked CMOS sensor, paired with the company’s proprietary AI algorithms. The camera records 4K Ultra HD video at 30 frames per second or Full HD 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, giving users the option of higher resolution or smoother motion capture. It also supports HDR for improved exposure in challenging lighting conditions, PDAF fast autofocus, 4x digital zoom, an f/1.8 aperture and an ISO range of 100 to 6400.

Obsbot says the webcam’s standout feature is its fold-to-protect design, which physically covers the lens when folded closed, automatically placing the device into sleep mode without requiring a separate privacy cover or software control. The webcam features an Intelligent Dual-Mic system that combines omnidirectional and directional microphones with four dedicated audio modes. Directional Mode focuses on a single speaker, Dual-Directional Mode captures conversations from the front and rear while reducing side noise, Smart Omni Mode balances voices during group meetings, and Pure Audio Mode delivers unprocessed stereo output for users who prefer post-production editing. Auto Gain and AI Noise Reduction are available across all modes except Pure Audio.

Several AI-powered functions are built into the Meet Flip to improve online meetings. AI Auto Framing automatically keeps users centered in the frame with Group, Single Close-Up, Upper Body and Full Body options. Gesture Control enables users to activate auto framing or adjust digital zoom using hand gestures. Through the Obsbot Center software, AI Magic Notes provides live transcription and automatically generates meeting summaries, capturing important discussion points, decisions and action items across Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Every Meet Flip includes 120 complimentary minutes of AI processing.

The webcam is compatible with the Obsbot Center desktop software, which adds features including Background Blur, Background Replacement, Picture-in-Picture overlays, Real-Time Beauty Mode, Smart Eye Tracking, Teleprompter support and advanced image controls. It also works with the Obsbot Live mobile app, allowing direct USB-C connectivity with smartphones and tablets for streaming and content creation.
