Spotify reported that service issues affecting thousands of users on Tuesday morning had been resolved, bringing an end to a disruption that briefly impacted access to the popular audio streaming platform. The incident occurred roughly one month after a larger outage in mid-May that generated about 22,000 reports related to login failures and other technical problems.
According to data from Downdetector, a platform that monitors user-reported service interruptions, complaints involving Spotify began rising sharply around 9:45 a.m. EDT on Tuesday. By 10:15 a.m. EDT, the number of reported issues had climbed to approximately 3,900.
The volume of complaints later reached a peak of around 5,000 before declining rapidly. By 11 a.m. EDT, the number of active reports had fallen to 345, indicating that the disruption was largely being resolved.
Among affected users, more than half reported difficulties using the Spotify app. Another 23% experienced problems with audio streaming, while 16% said they were unable to connect to the company’s servers.
Spotify acknowledged the issues during the outage and later informed users that the situation had been resolved. The company stated that conditions were “all clear” as of 11:18 a.m. EDT.
