Marshall has introduced the fourth-generation Acton IV and Stanmore IV wireless speakers, bringing upgraded audio performance, refreshed styling, and Auracast support for seamless multi-speaker connectivity. The new models continue the company’s home audio lineup while adding improved sound dispersion and enhanced usability.
Both speakers feature redesigned tweeters with updated waveguides to create a wider, more evenly distributed stereo soundstage. Marshall has also reworked the bass port to improve airflow, resulting in cleaner low-frequency performance. A new Dynamic Loudness feature automatically balances audio across different volume levels, helping preserve clarity, warmth, and detail whether listening quietly or at higher output. The updated design also routes cables from the bottom, allowing each speaker to sit flush against a wall.
The speakers retain Marshall’s signature aesthetic with PU leather covering, the classic salt-and-pepper grille, and amplifier-inspired controls. An updated brass control panel includes a redesigned media control knob, the brand’s signature power switch, and a customizable M-button that offers quick access to favorite music or personalized settings. Physical controls for volume, bass, treble, and playback remain available for easy operation.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth, RCA, and AUX inputs, making the speakers suitable for wireless streaming as well as connecting devices such as turntables. Marshall’s companion smartphone app allows users to fine-tune EQ settings, apply placement compensation, and customize the listening experience. According to Simona Berbec, Product Manager at Marshall Group, the fourth-generation speakers build on the qualities customers already value, including iconic design, premium construction, powerful sound, and intuitive controls, while refining those features rather than redesigning them completely.
Marshall has also focused on sustainability by using MDF cabinets made from FSC 100%-certified wood. The speakers are designed with repairability in mind, allowing components such as knobs, feet, and grilles to be replaced if needed.
Auracast support enables multiple Acton IV and Stanmore IV speakers to play synchronized audio throughout the home. Owners of previous Acton III and Stanmore III models can also participate in multi-room playback by using Marshall’s new Heddon streaming hub. The setup process is completed through the Marshall app, allowing synchronized playback across compatible speakers after a one-time configuration. The Heddon hub is priced at $299.99, £179.99, or €199, and is included free with qualifying purchases of two or more Marshall home speakers.
The Acton IV and Stanmore IV are available now in black and cream finishes. The Acton IV is priced at $299.99, while the larger Stanmore IV retails for $399.99.
