Drake’s ‘Iceman’ Sets 2026 Billboard 200 Record With Fourth Week

Drake celebrates Billboard 200 chart success

Drake has achieved another major chart milestone as his album Iceman secured a fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming the longest-running chart leader of 2026 so far. The achievement moves the Canadian superstar ahead of BTS and Noah Kahan, whose albums previously shared the year’s record with three weeks atop the chart.

Since debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated May 30, Iceman has remained undefeated despite gradually declining weekly consumption totals. The album opened with 463,000 equivalent album units, followed by 225,000 units in its second week. It then added 171,000 units in week three and 133,000 units in its fourth frame, maintaining its position above all competing releases.

With four weeks at the summit, Iceman is now the first album in 2026 to reach that mark. The record had previously been shared by BTS’s Arirang and Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide, both of which spent three weeks at No. 1 before being surpassed by Drake’s latest project.

BTS was the first act this year to achieve a three-week reign on the Billboard 200. Arirang debuted with 641,000 equivalent units, the largest opening week of any album released in 2026. The strong performance reflected significant demand for new music from the group after years during which members focused on solo projects and completed mandatory military service in South Korea.

Following BTS’s chart run, Ella Langley earned her first Billboard 200 No. 1 with her sophomore album Dandelion, which spent two weeks at the top. Noah Kahan then claimed his first chart-topping album with The Great Divide, an Americana-rock release that opened with nearly 400,000 equivalent units and remained at No. 1 for three consecutive weeks before being displaced by Iceman.

The success of Iceman also extended Drake’s historic Billboard record. When the album debuted at No. 1, it became his fifteenth Billboard 200 chart-topper. That achievement allowed him to move past Jay-Z and become the solo male artist with the most No. 1 albums in chart history. Drake is now tied with Taylor Swift for the second-most No. 1 albums overall, trailing only The Beatles, who hold the all-time record with 19.

Iceman’s arrival also helped Drake accomplish another unprecedented feat. The rapper became the first artist ever to occupy the top three positions on the Billboard 200 simultaneously. Alongside Iceman, Drake released two additional full-length projects, Habibti and Maid of Honour, which debuted at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively. While those albums have slipped slightly in subsequent weeks, Iceman has continued to dominate the chart.

The album’s reign may soon face its toughest challenge, however, as Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming release You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is widely expected to debut at No. 1 when Billboard publishes its next chart update.
