Amazfit Unveils Balance 3 and Ultra Smartwatches for Athletes

Amazfit Balance Ultra smartwatch display and design

Amazfit has expanded its smartwatch lineup with the introduction of the Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra, adding two new models aimed at what the company describes as “hybrid athletes.” The launch follows the recent debut of the Cheetah 2 series and places a strong emphasis on combining training metrics with broader wellness insights.

Central to the new watches is Amazfit’s Hybrid Training System, which brings together multiple health and fitness indicators within the Zepp companion app. Users can monitor BioCharge, LifeLoad, and Training Load metrics, which are then combined into a single HybridCharge score. While the underlying concepts are familiar to many fitness-watch users, Amazfit says the system is designed to provide “clearer direction” on how collected data can inform everyday training and recovery decisions. The company is also targeting the growing Hyrox community after signing a three-year partnership with Hyrox earlier in 2026.

The Balance series occupies a different position within Amazfit’s product portfolio than its other smartwatch families. While the T-Rex line is geared toward outdoor adventures and the Cheetah range focuses on runners, the Balance collection is intended for structured, all-around training. The watches share a design philosophy and feature set that draw comparisons to Garmin’s Fenix 8 Pro lineup while offering a more versatile approach for urban and multi-sport users.

Both the Amazfit Balance 3 and Balance Ultra feature 1.5-inch AMOLED displays with a peak brightness rating of 3,000 nits. The watches measure 51.8mm in diameter, offer 10ATM water resistance, support recreational scuba diving, and include 64GB of onboard storage with offline map functionality.

The key distinctions between the two models lie in their construction and battery capacity. The Balance Ultra uses a thicker case to accommodate a larger battery, delivering up to 30 days of usage compared with up to 21 days for the Balance 3. The Ultra model also includes a titanium bezel as standard, whereas buyers of the Balance 3 can upgrade from stainless steel to titanium for an additional cost. An extra fifth button on the left side of the case and a second watch strap included in the package further differentiate the Ultra variant.

Amazfit has opened pre-orders for both models ahead of their expected mid-June shipping date. The stainless-steel Balance 3 is priced at $359.99, while the Balance Ultra carries a price tag of $599.99. A titanium edition of the Balance 3 will be available for $449.99 and is currently listed by Amazfit as “coming soon.”
